Keith J. Hopper
MAI, R/W-AC, AI-GRSView Bio

Keith entered the appraisal field on a full-time basis in 1989, becoming the third generation of the Hopper family to pursue the valuation profession. He is a graduate of California State University Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Keith obtained the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1994, the R/W-AC certification from the International Right of Way Association in 2009, and the AI-GRS designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2015. Keith now has full ownership of the company and oversees all operations. He possesses experience in appraising most types of urban properties as well as many rural property types. He has specialized training and vast experience in appraising for litigation, including valuations involving condemnation, civil dispute, and title-related matters.

Richard founded the firm in 1972 and for 33 years he set a foundation for success. Many of the relationships he developed in the early years continue to be clients today. Throughout his long career, Richard worked on several major public works projects, countless institutional loan assignments, and provided expert testimony in numerous high-profile cases. His commitment to the community extended well beyond just the appraisal practice, however, and he served as President of the Downtown Rotary Club and on the boards of several other organizations. While he retired from full-time appraisal practice in 2005, Richard remains available to assist the firm in performing reviews and consulting on challenging assignments.
Ross E. Lenz
MAI R/W-ACView Bio

Ross grew up in Exeter and graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree focusing on Entrepreneurship. He became part of the Hopper Company in 2006 after working in his family’s construction business. Ross holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute alongside a Certified General appraisal license from the State of California. His appraisal experience covers a broad variety of urban properties of a commercial, industrial, multifamily, land, and special purpose type. Outside of the office, Ross is involved with his local church and the Boys Scouts of America, from whom he earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Renee joined the firm in 2006 after graduating from the University of Denver earning a Master’s Degree in Real Estate and Construction Management with an emphasis in Appraisal. Her interest in the appraisal profession was sparked while attending California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business concentrating in Finance and Appraisal. Renee’s upbringing on a ranch in Porterville and her current citrus farming activities have given her the background needed for valuing rural properties. She also offers strong experience in appraising many urban property types. Renee has been awarded the MAI designation by the Appraisal Institute, the R/W-AC certification from the International Right of Way Association, and the ARA designation by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Along with raising her family, Renee also dedicates her time to a number of community organizations, including the Tulare County Farm Bureau and the Young Farmers and Ranchers group.
